Hand-Knotted vs Hand-Tufted
Hand-knotted rugs are constructed knot-by-knot, creating an exceptionally dense structure that lasts 50+ years. Each knot is individually tied, making the process labor-intensive but resulting in an heirloom quality piece.
Hand-tufted rugs are woven using a faster technique and are beautiful, but typically last 10-15 years. The difference isn’t just durability it’s about investment philosophy.
At Giada, we specialize in hand-knotted rugs for clients who view their custom piece as a multi-generational investment in artisanal heritage.
